E! wanted to make a splash with the launch of their new show "The Arrangement," about a 10 million dollar arranged marriage contract offered to an aspiring actress by a cultish, definitely-not-Scientology-inspired organization called the Institute of the Higher Mind. I figured the audience for this show probably had a fair amount of overlap with another show about people entering into a strange, contrived romantic arrangement: The Bachelor. So, on the night that the season's most-talked-about contestant Corinne was sent home from the Bachelor, we aired a broadcast commercial offering her... a new opportunity.
